Rome – The Board of Directors of FiberCop met today under the chairmanship of Massimo Sarmi and has appointed Marco Nespolo as CEO, effective from 12th October 2026.

Massimo Sarmi, who has chaired FiberCop since November 2020 and also served as CEO since January 2025, continues as Chairman, providing continuity of governance as the company builds out Italy's national fibre network.

During today’s meeting the Board acknowledged that under Massimo Sarmi's leadership, FiberCop was carved out successfully, the NRRP was delivered in full, and a legacy copper infrastructure is being transformed into a modern, open-access network.
